Auto analyzer

Auto Analyzer apparatus is an electrochemical machine that measures blood chemistry. Auto Analyzer measures chemical composition of blood and shows them on the graph. This is done by admixing, the reaction of reagents, and colorimetric measurement in the presence of a continuous flow. The basis of measurements for this machine is spectrophotometry in which after the separation of blood serum, the intended reagent (for measuring any composition that should be measured, for example, blood sugar) is added to the serum and the final composition turns into a particular color. According to Beer's law for selective absorption of light by different materials, a light with supplementary color passes the color of the final composition and measures the amount of light absorption, and then compares it with standard light absorption and in proportion to that amount will represent the desired composition numerically. The machine works by setting an intended testing for computer of the device; as a result, it can indicate a location for the sample in a specific tube. Then by a proportioning pump, the sample is mixed with particular reagents of the specific test. It should be noted that the fluid is constantly heated at the temperature of 37 ° C inside the bathroom of the machine. Then in the colorimeter, optical density changes obtained by light passing through the solution is converted to an electrical signal by an optical detector and is processed in order to register the desired chemistry.

The operation of the machine: Every day, before starting to work with the machine you must give two diskettes to the machine containing the information and diverse programs to be able to set up the machine. This function gives us the ability to ask for newer and more diverse information from the machine, or in another word, the machine can be programmed by the operator.
In Auto Analyzer, on the one hand, sample and on the other hand, the reagents of the test are entered into the machine and they are combined with each other at the place of reaction (analysis). Detectors and sensors record the results of chemical or physical interactions and send them to processor or “electronic brain”. Raw data are processed by previous definitions and formulas of the machine or user registered in the system’s memory, and the final result is shown to the user by an output system which includes a monitor or an LCD screen. Almost all Auto Analyzers have a printer that may be a part of the machine or is laterally connected to it.
